Hello all.
I obviously shouldn't be moderating this community anymore. Any takers? If not, I'll just make Sammy a moderator (for now), so it stays open.

Hello all.

Tonight is the final night of "The Old Gods" a student production directed by Anthony Reed and written by Zoe Eddy. It's at 7 o'clock in Crooker Theater. Tickets are $3 for students and seniors, $5 for adults. We'd appreciate it if you would be able to come. Last night went really well and our audience was impressed and appreciative.

So, it's be cool if you came tonight.

Peace out.

Ed and I caught the matinee performance of "Bye Bye Birdie" yesterday afternoon.

It was great! It was so nice to see everyone again. There were so many new faces, too. Props to the stage-crew -- that must have taken several rehersals, I imagine. Zoe -- I thought your character was fantastic, and your talent really shone through. I was also surprised how Joel's voice has really matured since I left -- has he taken up vocal lessons? I thought Anthony Reed was a RIOT as "Mama". Everyone was really fantastic. Good job all!!

1/24/06 02:30 pm - foreverymoment - Idea/Shows/Auditions

Hey guys. I don't know if anyone is going to hate this idea or not...but in my Topics class we just finished reading the Oedipus trilogy. I got this idea in my head that it would be cool if someone put all three of them on...and they would run one show per weekend. It'd be kind of a nice fundraiser kind of thing for the Players if done properly.

Go see Godspell at the Portland Players :) It's supposed to be really good...and after that they're putting up You Can't Take It With You.

Also, keep your ears posted musical-theatre-ites...there are going to be auditions soon at the Portland Players for GYPSY.

And a shameless plug for USM -- the musical theatre majors are performing BY RODGERS! this weekend at Corthell Hall on the Gorham Campus. It's an original musical revue concieved by our very own Ed Reichert and it contains songs that were written by three generations of Rodgers'! (Richard Rodgers, daughter Mary Rodgers [Once Upon a Mattress, The Mad Show], and grandson Adam Guettel [who is currently celebrating the success of his Tony-Award winning musical The Light In The Piazza]) January 28th @ 8 pm and January 29th @ 2 pm. If you're interested call 780-5555 for ticket prices/information.

1/23/06 09:05 pm - wickedestwitch - Attention!

Just passing on the word for my mom..

Cast of Bye Bye Birdie.. a reminder that the full cast rehearsal that was supposed to be today will be held tomorrow after school. Spread the word.

We have lost a LOT of rehearsal time so all rehearsals are mandatory! I dont care if you are the tree's understudy on mondays....be there! If you cannot attend a rehearsal, please notify one of the directors ahead of time. This is serious...we need to all work our butts off if this is going to be a good show. So take lots of vitamin C and wash your hands and get plenty of sleep so we can all stay healthy.. remember, nobody is invincible!

Ok thats enough ranting...night ya'll :)

Hello everyone... I'm cross posting this.
I need a taped copy of the most recent productions of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, The Miracle Worker and The Man Who Came to Dinner. DVD form is fine, in fact better. I need the Drood copy when the sound was good (i.e., not the first night). This is for a supplemental arts application.
Please contact me ASAP.
